1989 恐怖簡介：一個全身赤裸的年輕男人蹲在室內靠窗的一株樹幹上，目光呆滯。他就是芬尼克斯（Axel Jodorowsky 飾），被關在精神病院的一位患者。從小體弱多病性格孤僻的芬尼克斯，童年是在馬戲班裏度過的。父親奧高（蓋伊·斯托克韋爾 Guy St ockwell 飾）是馬戲班班主，母親嘉西婭（布蘭卡·格拉 Blanca Guerra 飾）是空中飛人的演員。嘉西婭信奉拜物教，她供的神是個被兩個兄弟奸殺的斷臂少女。在她流血的地方，人們挖池貯水建起教堂，取名“聖血”。當神父發現所謂的聖血不過是紅油漆水時，同意當地政府拆毀教堂。嘉西婭帶領教徒反抗。當嘉西婭發現奧高與人通奸時發起報複，奧高拿飛刀斬去嘉西婭雙臂，割脈自殺。芬尼克斯進入精神病院。在嘉西婭的唆使下，芬尼克斯逃出精神病院，成為了嘉西婭的“魔手”。
