2002 劇情簡介：在漫長而又乏味的婚姻生活中，佩妮（萊絲利·曼維爾 Lesley Manville 飾）感到自己的人生走入了穀底，收銀員的工作讓她日複一日重複著同樣的動作，身為出租車司機的丈夫菲爾（蒂莫西·斯波 Timothy Spall 飾）則早就已經對妻子的喜怒哀樂無動於衷。女兒瑞秋（Alison Garland 飾）是個替老人打掃衛生的保姆，兒子羅伊（詹姆斯·柯登 James Corden 飾）失業閑賦在家，未來中佩妮覺得自己看不到任何的希望。 羅伊的突然病倒使整個家庭陷入了恐慌，本以為對家庭已經毫無感情的佩妮這才發現兒子的存在對自己來說是多麽的重要。在對羅伊的照顧和看護之中，佩妮和菲爾逐漸的找回了昔日的激情，家庭的裂縫開始緩慢愈合。
