《獵人之夜》劇情簡介
約翰（比利·查平 Billy Chapin 飾）和佩爾（薩莉·簡·布魯斯 Sally Jane Bruce 飾）是一對苦命的兄妹，他們的父親本（彼得·格雷夫斯 Peter Graves 飾）因搶劫和被判處絞刑。在被逮捕前，本把贓款藏在了佩爾的布娃娃裏，並讓他們承諾永遠不泄露這個秘密。本的獄友哈利（羅伯特·米徹姆 Robert Mitchum 飾）是一個敗絮其中的牧師，偶然間他得知了這筆贓款的去向，出獄後，哈利找到了本的妻子薇拉（謝利·溫特斯 Shelley Winters 飾），他想方設法得到了薇拉的芳心成為了約翰和佩爾的繼父，就此，哈利的陰謀開始了。哈利殺死了對於他來說毫無價值的薇拉，將他棄屍河底，又對兄妹兩人威逼利誘想要套出贓款的秘密。在所有努力都沒有成果之際，惱羞成怒的哈利露出的本來麵目。約翰和佩爾劃著小船逃離了哈利，他們一路流浪來到了一個陌生...
