《民權巾幗》劇情簡介
ABC在提交獨占罰款下，宣布開發詩選劇《民權運動裏的女子 Women of the Movement》，劇集由Marissa Jo Cerar負責執筆，Jay-Z﹑Will Smith及Aaron Kaplan的多家製片公司聯合製作。
《民權運動裏的女子》首季改編自Devery S. Anderson所寫的《Emmett Till: The Murder That Shocked the World and Propelled the Civil Rights Movement》，講述Mamie Till兒子Emmett Till在1955年時被殺後，她用了畢身精力為兒子尋求正義，並引爆了黑人民權運動。
