被續訂第二季的CBS喜劇《退休警察煩事多 Kevin Can Wait》在6月時有大人事變動，在劇中飾演主角Kevin（Kevin James飾）妻子Donna的Erinn Hayes宣布離開劇組，不會回歸第二季。CBS宣布Donna一角會在劇中去世，第二季一開始會有一段時間跳躍。
而劇組把曾在《後中之王 The King of Queens》與Kevin James合作過，於首季尾登場的Leah Remini提升為第二季常規兼女主。
