時間流逝著，逃亡與抗爭的旅程依舊漫漫看不到盡頭，好在瑞克（安德魯·林肯 Andrew Lincoln 飾）一行人的運氣還不算太壞，偶然中，他們找到了最理想的庇護所——一座廢棄已久的監獄，在這裏，新的生活即將展開。 另一邊，出走的安德裏亞（勞瑞·侯登 Laurie Holden 飾）與“刀女”米瓊恩（達娜·賈克賽·古瑞拉 Danai Jekesai Gurira 飾）亦找到了一處由“總督”（大衛·莫瑞瑟 David Morrissey 飾）所統治的“世外桃源”，安德裏亞十分喜歡這裏貌似平靜快樂的生活，但顯然米瓊恩並不這麽覺得，隨著時間的推移，一個驚人而恐怖的秘密漸漸浮出了水麵。瑞克和“總督”，當這兩個原則和理念完全相悖的“領導”相遇之時，戰爭爆發了。
