CBS網上頻道CBS All Access的《星際迷航：發現號 Star Trek: Discovery》確定拍攝4集短劇《星際迷航：短途 Star Trek: Short Treks》，分別在四天放出，然後一月時由正劇第二季入替。
4集10-15分鍾短劇《星際迷航：短途》中，每集皆為獨立故事：
10月4日（美國時間，下同） - 《Runaway》
